As October comes to an end, we want to highlight and recognize the special partnerships between Nest Community Shelter, Leeds Public House, and the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce this October.
A Month-long fundraiser at Leeds Public House
Throughout October, Leeds Public House showed its support for Nest Community Shelter with a signature cocktail and mocktail duo. The “Midnight Margarita” – a delicious way to make a difference! For every Midnight Margarita (or non-alcoholic Mocktail counterpart) sold, Leeds Public House will donate 50% of the proceeds directly to Nest Community Shelter.
We’re incredibly grateful for this partnership with Leeds Public House. Their commitment to our community is truly inspiring, and we thank everyone for stopping by and enjoying a Midnight Margarita (or its non-alcoholic counterpart) this month.
Mingle for a Mission: A Special Networking Event at Leeds Public House
Also earlier this month, we had a purposeful networking event at Leeds! The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce hosted its inaugural “Mingle for a Mission” event, featuring Nest Community Shelter at Leeds Public House.
This is event was a ton of fun and allowed chamber members to connect with fellow professionals in a relaxed setting while supporting our organization. It also allowed the community to learn about Nest Community Shelter’s impactful work in our community. Guests enjoyed delicious appetizers sponsored by Triplex Plating. Thank you to Triplex Plating for the yummy food!! The Midnight Margarita special will was full effect –giving 50% of all sales directly to Nest Community Shelter! Staff at Leeds even helped us box up the excess food from this event for us to bring back to the shelter and share with our guests.
Partnerships that Matter:
Throughout the month of October we were incredibly honored to also be the Michigan City Chamber’s Charity of Choice. The Chamber worked in coordination with Leeds Public House to host this event for our organization. All Nest had to do was share the word and show up that evening to share our mission. These partnerships mean the world to our organization and we are incredibly grateful for our community support.
We want to thank everyone who came out to support the first Mingle for a Mission and and or purchased a Midnight Margarita or Midnight Margarita mocktail. Thank you! We also want to thank Leeds Public House for working with us throughout the month, for their generosity and demonstrating the power of partnership.
